Black algae in your grass, everybody has to deal with this more and more often. ELIET developed the SPIKER for this job. A machine that has nails at the bottom that remind us of the spikes that football shoes have. The 2-wheel version with foldable handlebar ensures that the SPIKER can be stored away in a compact fashion.
Features
SPIKES
The ELIET spiker is equipped with 18 spikes, 5 mm thick, made of hard steel, which contributes to a long life and an optimal yield. The spikes are pointed over the full length and with a 15 mm interlining they guarantee the efficient raking of your lawn.
HIGH-QUALITY WHEELS
High-quality wheels with double ball bearings make this machine roll over the grass as if it were automatic. The wheels are also aligned with the mesas so that the machine can dethatch independently from the unevenness of the surface which precludes a scalping effect.
SHUFFLES
The Spiker rides on two high-quality wheels with double ball bearings. For stability when storing the machine, two shuffles were added. However, these have no effect whatsoever on the dethatching itself.
SWITCH
This switch allows the knife axle to turn in two directions. When the knife axle turns counter clockwise, the machine drags itself forward as it were, which results in working quicker. However, the raking efficiency is slightly slower than when the knife axle turns clockwise. This way of working is ideal for raking your grass once again in between seasons where necessary. When the knife axle turns clockwise, the knives turn against the drive direction, which results in making it harder for the operator to move the machine across the lawn. However, raking efficiency is optimum and therefore is done much more thoroughly.
ADJUSTABLE WHEELS
Each wheel can be adjusted in depth. This gives the user the warranty for an optimal depth adjustment which enables even scarifying over the total working width.
COLLAPSING STEERING WHEEL
In order to make the Spiker as compact as possible, ELIET installed a collapsing steering wheel on this machine so you also don't have to worry about storing it.
HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE STEERING WHEEL
For operator ease the wheel of the Spiker is also height adjustable.
POWERFUL ENGINE
The ELIET spiker has a 3 hp, 2200 Watt electric motor. This makes it one of the most powerful motors of its kind.
WHEEL SCRAPER
The wheels have wheel scrapers fitted. These keep the tread clean so that the machine is more stable producing a clean cut.
